LeanJax held it’s monthly Lean Leader Meeting at Bahri Dental on July 25th. Dr. Bahri has been on his Lean journey since 2005 and provided a group of local Lean leaders with a presentation and a tour of his impressive facility. Dr. Bahri and his team continuously strive to utilize Lean Thinking to create one-piece flow, resulting in a great customer experience and highly-satisfied patients. Bahri Dental does this by providing high-quality services, eliminating patient wait time and providing patients with the flexibility to receive all needed services during a single visit. Dr. Bahri engages his staff to eliminate the 8 wastes, proactively solve problems, and effectively communicate with one another. The team uses visual management and kanban cards as signals to control everything from supply storage and replenishment, to patient scheduling, to service requests during each appointment. Bahri Dental has enjoyed significant success by creating a culture focused on continuous improvement and respect for people.
