A3 Problem Solving

LeanJax will offer its’ A3 Problem Solving course at The Barnabas Center Nassau on April 16, 2019 from 9:00-4:00 pm. This training is free to all LeanJax members and the content is tailored toward transactional services. A3 Problem Solving is the third course of the five required for LeanJax’s Facilitation certification track, which also includes Introduction to Lean Thinking, Introduction to Value Stream Mapping, and Introduction to Lean Facilitation I and II.

Intro to Lean Facilitation Part I

Course Objectives

To develop an understanding of:

1. The Lean fundamentals and how to begin teaching others these concepts.

2. Lean Facilitation, including: its’ key components, best practices, and benefits.

3. The roles, responsibilities, and behaviors required to successfully facilitate an effective rapid improvement event.

4. The required standard work processes for the three stages of RIE Facilitation, as well as the necessary roles & responsibilities for leaders and participants.

5. Best practices for Lean facilitators and potential pitfalls to avoid.

Lean Facilitation Training

Lean Facilitation Training

James Bussell, Jerry Bussell, and Megan Johns will continue their Lean training series on February 12th at TIAA Bank with LeanJax’s fourth course, Introduction to Lean Facilitation. The TIAA team has value stream mapped and completed an A3 on a process that is a major pain point ripe for improvement. During this course, we will discuss how to incorporate standard work into the selection, planning, execution, and follow-up of a successful and sustainable rapid improvement event. We’ll also discuss and practice the soft and hard skills needed to effectively facilitate Lean improvements.
